What’s in it for you? Borrow reusable place settings, cloth napkins and serving pieces at no cost.
Whether you’re planning to host a big dinner party, are an event planner or are just curious — discover how small changes can create a big impact in our community. Weddings, club functions, camping trips, meetings … you can borrow from The Dish Library for any type of event.
The Dish Library is a project of the Victoria Downtown Residents Association’s “Victoria” Coolkit program, in collaboration with Zero Waste Emporium. Thanks to the Capital Region District for funding the project through the Rethink Waste Community Grant program.

What does it cost?
Nothing, it’s free!
What do I need to do?
Contact us using the booking form, making sure to include your event date and the number of items you would like to borrow. We will reply to let you know if your date is available, and if so, to confirm your items and pick-up and drop-off dates. We ask that you please wash all items before returning them.
What’s done for me?
Everything is sanitized and packed ready for you to pick up on a Friday and return on a Monday at Zero Waste Emporium (1728 Douglas Street) during their regular business hours, which you can find here.

Knives
We also have 80 recycled plastic bowls with lids (perfect for picnics and camping) and a limited supply of glassware.
