INDIGENOUS LAND
Downtown Victoria is the unceded traditional territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, Lekwungen Peoples, of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, and the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples. We would like to thank those communities and nations on whose homelands the Victoria Downtown Residents Association encompasses to live, work, play and continue our journey of learning. We offer our gratitude and respect to these communities and nations, acknowledging that we are uninvited guests on these lands.
